Midas DM12 Mixer
Midas DM Series of Mixers

Live Performance and Studio Recording

Featuring 12 channels, the DM12 offers ample microphone and line inputs to manage a small band or worship team with extra channels for both on-stage and studio use. It's also an excellent choice for serving as a keyboard or drum sub-mixer for larger-scale performances.

Specific Stereo Inputs

Channels 9/10 - 11/12 are dedicated stereo channels, perfectly suited for stereo instruments like keyboards. They are also adaptable for mono signals, thanks to a convenient balance control on each 2-channel grouping. Furthermore, these channels can serve as return inputs for signals sent to external effects processing equipment.

A Glimpse into History

In a transformative moment on a summer night in 1972, the world of music witnessed an unexpected revolution that changed the perception of rock 'n' roll for Britain's teenagers.

This revolution was embodied by David Bowie. His appearance on the influential BBC show "Top of the Pops" was iconic - adorned in a multi-colored jumpsuit and sporting a red mullet hairdo, Bowie strummed a blue acoustic guitar while debuting his new single "Starman." Bowie's carefree and unconventional style captivated audiences, including a young Martin Coogan.

In that very instant, Coogan was inspired to be part of the rock 'n' roll scene. Starting with local gigs in various bands, he ultimately co-founded The Mock Turtles. Yet, Coogan found himself more intrigued by the intricacies of the recording process than the live music scene.

Driven by this fascination and the success of The Mock Turtles' famous single "Can You Dig It?" came a significant investment – the acquisition of Manchester's Vibe Recording Studios in 2008. Vibe Recording Studios found its niche when Coogan embarked on a meticulous quest for an exceptional analog mixing console - an endeavor that led to a unique discovery.

In his pursuit, he stumbled upon a bespoke Midas desk, handcrafted in 1977 for the substantial sum of £8117.17. Coogan made the deal, and for £2750 less, he now owned the console of his dreams.

Over the years, Vibe Recording Studio has earned a legendary status, hosting renowned artists such as The Mock Turtles and James.
