We recently completed this gem. This is a sound and projector install we did for a customer in Bloemfontein. Not only is the roof very high, the space, acoustically challenging and the ceiling completely sealed off with Knotty-Pine, finding rigging points (blindly from above the ceiling) in the correct places to aim the PA’s has proven quite challenging indeed and we had to move-on from the “normal” way to get it right.

We employed the Wharfedale WLA25 and WLA25 Sub – Line Array system with Vivitek DW275 high-definition projectors, coupled with Alphatron Extenders and switchers.
The sound system has perfect clarity over the entire venue, and its small footprint makes it almost disappear into the roof. All and All – very capable PA (Sound System), bright and affordable projectors, and a very cool solution.
We hope this system serves you great for the next 20 years – and we have the opportunity to expand on it, as your needs change.

As you can imagen, reaching a celling this high safely is quite difficult, and takes a lot of planning, access- and measuring equipment. This is one of the main considerations when deciding to upgrade your current sound system, install a new one or installing projectors on roof mounted brackets.  As this photo indicate quite clearly – there is not a single panel in this ceiling, or the roof structure above it that is at right angles to each other, visible and easy to access. Our install on the other hand is level, at the right hight and pointing exactly where it should. This took a lot of laser levelling, measuring and two-way-radio communication to get done – and in the end – it is worth the investment.
